ranch (alt. ranche, rancho)1. In the united States and Canada, a farm that raises livestock, fruits, and vegetables for use of the family, or crops for feeding animals; sometimes used as a secondary income, e.g., a cattle ranch. 2. The buildings occupied or the persons on the estate (ranchers).
